Sebastian D'Angelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Teodor, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Igor Chojnacki took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Piarres. Bernardo Piarres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of San Lorenzo FC booed when Diamante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Arad Campos made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Piarres. Diamante's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 25th match minute, San Lorenzo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Goi to maneuver through the defense. Siro Barbosa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Igor Chojnacki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Piarres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian D'Angelo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidio Torres in the 34th minute. When Alfonso Eskuin fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo FC's protests and gave Alfonso Eskuin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Diamante booed when San Lorenzo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Eskuin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half San Lorenzo FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arad Campos made the kick off in the second half. San Lorenzo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfonso Eskuin in the 53rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Alfonso Eskuin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernardo Piarres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Arad Campos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Bernardo Piarres 55 minutes into the match. Igor Chojnacki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bernardo Piarres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Torres in the 60th minute of play forced San Lorenzo FC's goalkeeper Sebastian D'Angelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian D'Angelo having to interfere. Alfonso Eskuin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Honorio Lauro kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Igor Chojnacki struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Bernardo Piarres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo FC. The Diamante manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing San Lorenzo FC to win.
