In the 10th minute, Venancio Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Roque Che notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Madagascar F. C's Francisco Jesus. Francisco Jesus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st match minute, Madagascar F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Lamberto to maneuver through the defense. Carolo Matteo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Francisco Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. Francisco Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Paublo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Madagascar F. C defense, Jimeno Paublo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Jesus. The Madagascar F. C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Jesus should have stopped the shot. Francisco Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Matteo in the 38th minute of play. Francisco Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willie Whitley in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Willie Whitley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Willie Whitley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Francisco Jesus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the match, Madagascar F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Matteo came free, but Francisco Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Satordi's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucio Satordi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Madagascar F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Satordi to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Madagascar F. C's goalkeeper Francisco Jesus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Madagascar F. C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. River Plate were winning 0-4.
In the 55th minute, Willie Whitley fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Francisco Jesus, passed just outside the right post. Madagascar F. C's Francisco Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Huly in the 57th minute of play. Francisco Jesus came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Willie Whitley. But to his dismay, Willie Whitley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Francisco Jesus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Willie Whitley showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 65 minute of play. Carolo Matteo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Jesus having to make a save. 71 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Lamberto came free, but Marco Rios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes of play, Madagascar F. C's Cornelio Dominic made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Rios was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romeo Mino hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Willie Whitley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Jesus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. In the 82nd minute, Ermegildo Lamberto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madagascar F. C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-7. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of River Plate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Madagascar F. C:s goal. The referee gave Madagascar F. C a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lucio Satordi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of River Plate's Marco Rios. 3-7. 90 minutes into the match, Madagascar F. C's goalkeeper Francisco Jesus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willie Whitley. In the 91st minute Cornelio Dominic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Gaspar Bazil with Lucio Satordi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicanor Ramond during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Nicanor Ramond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 99 minutes into the match, Madagascar F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Huly came free, but Francisco Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River Plate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
