C.A. Villa Alvear Chaco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Avellaneda the free kick. In the 96th minute, Filomeno Castel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Sportivo Avellaneda were the better team. Sportivo Avellaneda's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
