In the 9th match minute, La Cuerveria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Cutberto to maneuver through the defense. Aquiles Mirande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beloslav Paskalev in the 11th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, La Cuerveria's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Fero came free, but Aquiles Mirande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gerardo Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cuerveria's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Laurin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelio Cutberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Marques having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, Racing Club's Beloslav Paskalev made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquiles Mirande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximino Joseph's late challenge caught a La Cuerveria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Joseph helped the player get up and apologised. Maximino Joseph hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerardo Laurin to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Laurin came free, but Rigoberto Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Racing Club's Orlando Fiz suffered a concussion after 57 minutes and had to leave the field. Gerardo Laurin charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Laurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aquiles Mirande made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Haroldo Rocio sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Kent Linquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Cutberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Haroldo Rocio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aquiles Mirande, passed just outside the right post. In the 68thth minute of the game Beloslav Paskalev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Cuerveria's Aquiles Mirande was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When La Cuerveria's Gerardo Laurin in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racing Club's goalie prevented a goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racing Club reached it. Rigoberto Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Haroldo Rocio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Severiano Fero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Laurin in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rigoberto Marques saved Racing Club from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
