Ramírez AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. RIVER PLATE the free kick. After 3 played minutes Ramírez AFC got a freekick which was hit by Israel Atarrabi. Gregorio Refugio's late challenge caught a Ramírez AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Refugio helped the player get up and apologised. Gregorio Refugio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Tomas Orlondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elvio Osasun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ramírez AFC booed when F.C. RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Favila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, F.C. RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Lekubegi came free, but Kaljo Laurits reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Tomas Orlondo made a precise shot to the right of Baldomiro Pedroso. Ramírez AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The supporters of Ramírez AFC booed when F.C. RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Orlondon didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvio Osasun made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Alejo Jatsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaljo Laurits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, F.C. RIVER PLATE's Elvio Osasun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomiro Pedroso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Silvio Lekubegi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Lekubegi couldn't finish the play. After 84 minutes, Amancio Irrintzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ramírez AFC and the F.C. RIVER PLATE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Ramírez AFC's zone, Tomas Orlondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Pedroso came out of the goal and Tomas Orlondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amancio Irrintzi got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 87th match minute, Ramírez AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Irrintzi to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Osasun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Baldomiro Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The F.C. RIVER PLATE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ramírez AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
