Teodoro Eguerdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Maiorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Teodoro Eguerdi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Teodoro Eguerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerome Wise, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Teodoro Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Maiorga in the 9th minute of play. Teodoro Eguerdi made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Angel Maiorga sent off a good shot on target. Club Atletico River Plate's Teodoro Eguerdi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico River Plate from getting a goal against them. After 21 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Ärni Kalda. Teodoro Eguerdi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgilio Loren went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Angel Maiorga kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Virgilio Loren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Teodoro Eguerdi made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Angel Maiorga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Eguerdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Virgilio Lorens short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Teodoro Eguerdi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Radu Ispas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Efren notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Club Atletico River Plate's Teodoro Eguerdi. Teodoro Eguerdi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 48th minute, Hermengildo Efren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Eguerdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgilio Loren was the one to do the kick off. Club Atletico River Plate's Teodoro Eguerdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Maiorga in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Ronaldinho came free, but Teodoro Eguerdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Club Rosario Norte's Virgilio Loren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Eguerdi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Teodoro Eguerdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Maiorga in the 63rd minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Ärni Kalda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Rosario Norte the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Ärni Kalda got a free kick in the 68th minute. Club Atletico River Plate's attentive Baltasar Eleder managed to snatch the ball when Stamatis Baltatzis made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Nicolas Lluciano took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Constantino Fonso to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Wise in the 78th minute of play forced Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Teodoro Eguerdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes of play, Club Rosario Norte's Angel Maiorga made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Eguerdi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Rosario Norte's Oscar Mitxel was substituted for Ronaldão Ronaldinho. 91 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Jerome Wise came free, but Teodoro Eguerdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
