The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Luanco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Providencia AFC:s goal. Providencia AFC's Bonifacio Procopio got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amado Laurendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Cordara having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amado Laurendi to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Omar Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luanco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Alvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Omar Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Ekain in the 59th minute of play forced Providencia AFC's goalkeeper Serafino Petrigai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Providencia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Fe to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Procopio in the 67th minute of play forced Luanco's goalkeeper Genaro Cordara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Jerano kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Luanco's zone, Bonifacio Procopio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Cordara came out of the goal and Bonifacio Procopio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Ekain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bonifacio Procopio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Cordara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Laurendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Prudencio Pirro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Luanco's Genaro Cordara didn't even have to move. Denis Perutxo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Genaro Cordara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Laurendi in the 96th minute of the match. Luanco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
