Nereo Ereinotz hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The long shot by Serafin Galo in the 11th minute really tested Julian Telo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Arnulfo Horado struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Julian Telo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Rojos. 24 minutes into the match, River Plate's Borys Cwenar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kim-André Fagerås narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Los Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Utku Demirel came free, but Kim-André Fagerås reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Utku Demirel in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kim-André Fagerås prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Sixto Abel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julian Telo. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixto Abel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 39thth minute of the game Borys Cwenar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Rojos's Kim-André Fagerås was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sixto Abel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kim-André Fagerås took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Utku Demirel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. River Plate's Borys Cwenar got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Julian Telo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Los Rojos's Kim-André Fagerås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Utku Demirel in the 63rd minute of play. Rogelio Gaueko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Telo having to make a save. Julian Telo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Gaueko, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Borys Cwenar took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kim-André Fagerås. Kim-André Fagerås dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Utku Demirel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kim-André Fagerås having to make a save. Borys Cwenar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Kim-André Fagerås made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Mero in the 78th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Julian Telo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Utku Demirel managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Utku Demirel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim-André Fagerås breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Abel in the 83rd minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Julian Telo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Utku Demirel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kim-André Fagerås, 2-2. 93 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Abel came free, but Julian Telo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Utku Demirel rounded Los Rojos's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. The Los Rojos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. River Plate were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
