The supporters of homerofc booed when Neild AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Pitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Ermengol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriana Baristo in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Genaro Galindo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Ermengol was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After 28 minutes of play, homerofc's Adriana Baristo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Ermengol was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute, Gustavo Gaueko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Ermengol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genaro Galindo went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Genaro Galindo might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Ermengol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genaro Galindo ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Neild AFC's zone, Adriana Baristo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 43rd minute Genaro Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Ermengol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neild AFC's Elias Ermengol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Galindo in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseo Ofelio to make the kick off. In the 87th minute, Adriana Baristo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
