In a very dangerous position, a player in Roman FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ardiles FC a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rolando Rexino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Roman FC's Apolo Natanael. 0-1. Apolo Natanael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Ardiles FC's Paulino Hotz got control of the ball when Primitivo Rozarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Didzis Spēks's late challenge caught a Ardiles FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didzis Spēks helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Roman FC got a freekick which was hit by Didzis Spēks. In the 20th minute, Rigoberto Teyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Ardiles FC's Adan Nahia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Natanael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Roman FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Gumaro came free, but Apolo Natanael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ardiles FC booed when Roman FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Sarracino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Rolando Rexino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apolo Natanael showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Higinio George sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman FC's Apolo Natanael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Nahia in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Roman FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didzis Spēks to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Egoi in the 41st minute of play forced Roman FC's goalkeeper Apolo Natanael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Roman FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Egoi came free, but Apolo Natanael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robustiano Egoi made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, Roman FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Rozarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Primitivo Rozarius blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulino Hotz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Rozarius in the 62nd minute of play forced Ardiles FC's goalkeeper Paulino Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes Roman FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Suarez. Rolando Rexino was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Roman FC's Apolo Natanael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Egoi in the 74th minute of play. Apolo Natanael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Teyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Amancio Gumaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Apolo Natanael made a huge save. Primitivo Rozarius struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Paulino Hotz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roman FC. If Amancio Gumaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Higinio George managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roman FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio George was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Hotz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fabiano Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Ardiles FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
