Leonides Tabb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Leguizamón in the 3rd minute of the match. Jorge Leguizamón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Tabb having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Erasto got free with Leonides Tabb in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of UltraMillonario booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Felipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rafael Havier fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RIVER PLATE's protests and gave Rafael Havier a yellow card for diving instead. Aurelio Felipo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by UltraMillonario's Christian Uzuri. But to his dismay, Christian Uzuri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Christian Uzuri scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Felipo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 29 played minutes, RIVER PLATE's Baldomiro Confesor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonides Tabb came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RIVER PLATE reached it. Leonides Tabb didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 34th minute Jiljí Bartoň shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Egoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Aurelio Felipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Conrado Pabla made a precise shot to the right of Leonides Tabb. UltraMillonario's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jiljí Bartoň to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Egoitz came free, but Aurelio Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, UltraMillonario's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Erasto came free, but Leonides Tabb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Christian Uzuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Leonardo Egoitz charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Egoitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, UltraMillonario's Leonardo Egoitz got a free kick in the 64th minute. Leonardo Egoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aurelio Felipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Felipo came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by UltraMillonario's Jiljí Bartoň. But to his dismay, Jiljí Bartoň quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. The supporters of RIVER PLATE booed when UltraMillonario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Celestino Erasto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Erasto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaspar Rolado struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Aurelio Felipo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UltraMillonario. Leonides Tabb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Pabla in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Christian Uzuri made a precise shot to the right of Aurelio Felipo. RIVER PLATE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the UltraMillonario players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
