The crowd rose to their feet as Arauco FC's Amador Thomas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Placido Javiar. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Placido Javiar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicolas Nesor showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Amador Thomas struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Placido Javiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arauco FC. In the 39th minute, Johnny Svartengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Johnny Svartengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
