The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New Chelsea. Anibal Lorenz had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Herminio Arlo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 16th minute, Celedonio Lano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Lano in the 17th minute of play forced New Chelsea's goalkeeper Anibal Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Lluis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bonifacio Menendo having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Celedonio Lano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Lorenz was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. 29 minutes into the match, Panacón's goalkeeper Bonifacio Menendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Palben. Eliseo Palben blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bonifacio Menendo having to make a save. When Antonio Steven came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Panacón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Steven couldn't finish the play. The supporters of New Chelsea booed when Panacón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Admon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Vicente Felipillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Lorenz having to interfere. Antonio Steven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Antonio Steven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Celedonio Lano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind New Chelsea's goalkeeper Anibal Lorenz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zeledon Lluis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Panacón getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Froilan Admon hit a great ball. Antonio Steven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. In the 78thth minute of the game Antonio Steven who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Chelsea's Anibal Lorenz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bonifacio Menendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Palben in the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Celedonio Lano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Zeledon Lluis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Panacón's Bonifacio Menendo. Bonifacio Menendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anibal Lorenz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Lano in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the Panacón defense, Eliseo Palben kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bonifacio Menendo. The Panacón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bonifacio Menendo should have stopped the shot.
