Roberto Lizbeth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timur Tischenko in the 32nd minute of the match. Teodoro Indar hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Armstrong's Fabricio Esdras quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Teodosio Bide, made in the 44th minute of the game. Timur Tischenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Armstrong's Diego Gutierrez got a free kick in the 46th minute. The Armstrong players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RoRRo were winning 0-1.

With a little luck, Armstrong's Norberto Rufio got control of the ball when Camilo Asteri tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 played minutes Armstrong got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Peru. Eliseo Dolfos shot from long distance in the 58th minute, but Norberto Rufio was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Norberto Rufio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Dolfos in the 70th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Esteve Bartoli threw the ball into play from the sideline. Armstrong's Jairo Ignatius quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
