After 3 played minutes Sarmiento AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lino Argoitz. Kutlu Baykut struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Fausto Umbruso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Son Aristas. Godfredo Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Garin in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Sarmiento AFC booed when Son Aristas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Cabrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Though ot was a great shot Son Aristas's keeper Godfredo Ihazintu was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Benito Nofre kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Godfredo Ihazintu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 15th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Isidro Tonio struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Fausto Umbruso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Son Aristas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Matia in the 20th minute of play forced Sarmiento AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gaudencio Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Dei got free with Godfredo Ihazintu in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciriaco Ariando hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Fausto Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutlu Baykut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Orlanda kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Fausto Umbruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Eleazar in the 40th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Candido Garin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alberto Orlanda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godfredo Ihazintu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Lino Argoitz charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Argoitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Son Aristas booed when Sarmiento AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Argoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Umbruso having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Son Aristas's Benito Nofre ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fausto Umbruso. Fausto Umbruso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 68th minute, Son Aristas's Gilberto Stanislao dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. A collision led to Son Aristas getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Isidro Tonio hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Sarmiento AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enrique Chuse fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Benito Nofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Orlanda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Ihazintu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Son Aristas's Kutlu Baykut got a free kick in the 81st minute. Fausto Umbruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Stanislao in the 83rd minute of play. Godfredo Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Garin in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Son Aristas getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Enrique Chuse hit a great ball. Son Aristas's Justino Ubelteso was substituted for Isidro Tonio. Enrique Chuse hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Alberto Orlanda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Ihazintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Son Aristas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
