Alejandro Matia took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobias Unax. Tobias Unax dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Son Aristas's Godfredo Ihazintu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Son Aristas from getting a goal against them. After 35 minutes, Serafino Kaiet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merlo FC and the Son Aristas players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Son Aristas booed when Merlo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Kaiet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kutlu Baykut, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Merlo FC's Tobias Unax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Tonio in the 42nd minute of play. Tobias Unax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Chuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Unax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Tonio in the 48th minute of play. The Merlo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Son Aristas were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Chuse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tobias Unax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Eleazar in the 52nd minute of the match. Enrique Chuse's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Tobias Unax skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 55 minutes into the match, Merlo FC's goalkeeper Tobias Unax had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Chuse. The audience was convinced that Enrique Chuse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Unax was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. If Gaudencio Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaudencio Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tobias Unax tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute of the match Benito Nofre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tobias Unax skillfully saved the ball. Serafino Kaiet kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Enrique Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Son Aristas defense, Honorato Hechter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godfredo Ihazintu. The Son Aristas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godfredo Ihazintu should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by 陆烽骋 in the 90th minute of play forced Son Aristas's goalkeeper Godfredo Ihazintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Matia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
