An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Victorio Canor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Esteve Gaitan made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Igor Austin sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Saenen in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Paskal saved Cortex FC from getting behind. Siro Paskal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Saenen, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Esteve Gaitan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Austin in the 20th minute. Cortex FC's Victorio Canor got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Cortex FC's Igor Austin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esteve Gaitan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Saenen in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siro Paskal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esteve Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Canor, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Henry Saenen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muñano's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Saenen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Paskal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Cortex FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Baldomiro Balendin hit a great ball. The Muñano fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Muñano's Henry Saenen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Bernabe Camerino fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muñano's protests and gave Bernabe Camerino a yellow card for diving instead. Bernabe Camerino hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cortex FC's Siro Paskal got control of the ball when Henry Saenen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Henry Saenen put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Siro Paskal. Cortex FC made a substitution.
