In the 9th minute, Jaime Abad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eugenio Aballe struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Benito Cresenciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bunge. Jaime Abad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Cayo having to interfere. In the 25th minute Jaime Abad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Cayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Bunge's Jairo Crispo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Marcelino Cayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rinus van Olst in the 33rd minute of play. FC Bunge's Marcelino Cayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Benat in the 40th minute of play. Nemesio Aires charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Aires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Vicente lopez recargado!! got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Aires. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Marcial Balendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jaime Abad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Cayo was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Marcelino Cayo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Abad went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bunge's zone, Jaime Abad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Cayo came out of the goal and Jaime Abad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Vicente lopez recargado!! booed when FC Bunge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Vicente lopez recargado!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Abad to maneuver through the defense. Vicente lopez recargado!!'s Benito Cresenciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Aballe in the 82nd minute of play. If Eugenio Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jairo Crispo fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Bunge's protests and gave Jairo Crispo a yellow card for diving instead. Jairo Crispo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Rinus van Olst sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelino Cayo skillfully saved the ball.
