Shaqui's Eustacio Gonzales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Abadia in the 9th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Jorge Mirande put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Lechuza getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jorge Mirande hit a great ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shaqui's goalkeeper Eustacio Gonzales, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eustacio Gonzales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Abadia in the 25th minute of play. Octavio Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Roldanillo in the 27th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Tomás Roldanillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Octavio Cordario to make any attempt to save it. Erasmo Abadia struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Eustacio Gonzales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lechuza.

The wind increased when Basilio Rubio made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Lechuza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Atauri to maneuver through the defense. Remigio Frantzes's late challenge caught a Shaqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Frantzes helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Lechuza got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Frantzes. After a defensive mix-up in Lechuza's zone, Angel Rojelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Cordario came out of the goal and Angel Rojelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute of the match Basilio Gai sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Cordario skillfully saved the ball. After 67 played minutes Shaqui got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Silban. Arsenio Enmanuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Cordario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arsenio Enmanuel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute of the match Rodolfo Pirro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Cordario skillfully saved the ball. In the 77th minute, Tomás Roldanillo made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Cordario. Lechuza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Octavio Cordario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Pello, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Edelmiro Neto hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Rojelio in the 85th minute of play forced Lechuza's goalkeeper Octavio Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shaqui's Eustacio Gonzales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Abadia in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Basilio Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Shaqui's Tomás Roldanillo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Cordario was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shaqui walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
