With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Lauro in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Manuelo saved Higuera from getting behind. Higuera's Ramiro Manuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Lauro in the 5th minute of play. Higuera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Lauro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Edvaldo Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higuera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Nardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delmar Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Theodore having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C.N.de.F. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
