Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Anier Miliano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, La Mecánica Naranja's goalkeeper Gualterio Eneko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Santo. After a rather tough play, La Mecánica Naranja's Cândido Garcia got a free kick in the 6th minute. A hard shot by Eigil Terslev from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Gualterio Eneko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a defensive mix-up in Ambato's zone, Eleuterio Che stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Gorosti came out of the goal and Eleuterio Che tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Lucio Efren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Mecánica Naranja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aurelio Gorosti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Che, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Che in the 24th minute of play forced Ambato's goalkeeper Aurelio Gorosti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Eneko was a little too slow when Eliseo Cordareo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-1. Aurelio Gorosti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Efren, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Leo Santo came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gualterio Eneko could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Anier Miliano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gualterio Eneko. That made the score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. A collision led to Ambato getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Eliseo Cordareo hit a great ball. Gualterio Eneko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anier Miliano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 39 minute of play. Anier Miliano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gualterio Eneko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eleuterio Che might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Gorosti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eleuterio Che ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Ambato getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ariel Sabin hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Che was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ambato's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Che came free, but Aurelio Gorosti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Eigil Terslev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cândido Garcia hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Abelardo Seme kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Lucio Efren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Ambato's Anier Miliano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualterio Eneko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gualterio Eneko came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Ambato's Eliseo Cordareo. But to his dismay, Eliseo Cordareo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 82 minutes into the game, Benicio Eguerdi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ambato's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Mecánica Naranja the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Ambato:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La Mecánica Naranja:s goal. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for La Mecánica Naranja. Fabricio Ederono stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aurelio Gorosti. 4-2. In the 93rd minute, Zeledon Toribio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualterio Eneko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Santo in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Eliseo Cordareo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ambato fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Anier Miliano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Eneko having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ambato fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Mecánica Naranja had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
