The audience was convinced that Iker Rafe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaston Felipo was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Eusebio Ourente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Caitano having to interfere. Loreto's Gaston Felipo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Loreto from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Loreto's zone, Dušan Kriváň stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Felipo came out of the goal and Dušan Kriváň tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Loreto getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tomás Marin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Loreto's zone, Alonzo Berriotxoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Felipo came out of the goal and Alonzo Berriotxoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iker Rafes short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Gaston Felipo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iker Rafe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Segundo Jurdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Felipo having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Iker Rafe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gaston Felipo. The goal made the score 1-0. 42 minutes into the match, Dušan Kriváň had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaston Felipo. Loreto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dušan Kriváň was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, boca juniors's Fred da Silva got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Rosendo Matia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. boca juniors's Iker Rafe managed to work through Loreto's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Iker Rafe dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 68th minute, Fred da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Segundo Jurdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd minute, Eusebio Ourente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Gaston Felipo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Rafe's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Jurdan during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Segundo Jurdan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ricardo Caitano made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Rosendo Matia sent off a good shot on target. Gaston Felipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Rafe in the 86th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Loreto got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Ourente. Iker Rafe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gaston Felipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dušan Kriváň sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that boca juniors were the better team. boca juniors's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
