The crowd rose to their feet as Chaquiago's Nicasio Dominguez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ildefonso Omero. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. When Francisco Cresconio came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Chaquiago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Cresconio couldn't finish the play. Ildefonso Omero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Otsoko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Basílio Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
