The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Sotil got free with Candido Ostots in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sotil struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Candido Ostots didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dantesco. When Eusebio Poncio came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Dantesco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Poncio couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute Eusebio Poncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Ostots saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebio Poncio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Candido Ostots when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
