Arnoldo Flor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 12th minute, Elvio Frasquito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Elvio Frasquito came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Unión AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Frasquito couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Unión AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Astudillo came free, but Justino Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remigio Ponciano was a little too slow when Elvio Frasquito got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Saturnino Bihar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Frichoso having to interfere. With 31 minutes on the clock, Jacobo Quirze commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Bañado AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Unión AFC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 32 minutes, Unión AFC's Fabian Garikoitz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Remigio Ponciano. In the 37thth minute of the game Erasmo Eliu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unión AFC's Justino Frichoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Antonio Bero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bañado AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Bero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Unión AFC's Joaquin Aztore seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joaquin Aztore the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unión AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joaquin Aztore had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 41 minutes into the game, one of Unión AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Astudillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dario Txaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Remigio Ponciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Arnoldo Flor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Unión AFC booed when Bañado AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Ikatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unión AFC's goalkeeper Justino Frichoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bañado AFC's zone, Dario Txaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Ponciano came out of the goal and Dario Txaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remigio Ponciano came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Unión AFC's Arnoldo Flor. But to his dismay, Arnoldo Flor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 74 minutes into the match, Unión AFC's goalkeeper Justino Frichoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Astudillo. With a little luck, Unión AFC's Justino Frichoso got control of the ball when Gualterio Montay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remigio Ponciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Flor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Txaran, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 85 minutes, Pastor Silbestre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bañado AFC and the Unión AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bañado AFC's Pastor Silbestre got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 95 played minutes Bañado AFC got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Eliu. Unión AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
