Robert Panaitescu had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Benigno Opilano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mauro Petrigai received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Iaki came out and tried to block the shot, but Mauro Petrigai slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 19th minute. Robert Panaitescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Silban in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to William getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Aurelio Perpinya hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Mauro Petrigai could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Julio Iaki however easily saved by the left post. Julio Iaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Henric in the 41st minute of the match. Mauro Petrigai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Elvio Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Perpinya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Aurelio Perpinya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Panaitescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Robert Panaitescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Roland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Roland in the 83rd minute of play forced Bati F.C.'s goalkeeper Robert Panaitescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bati F.C. booed when William was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Opilano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, William's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Petrigai came free, but Julio Iaki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bati F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while William had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
