The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cachete FC's Feliberto Inko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Pedroso in the 3rd minute of play. Pastor Pedroso scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliberto Inko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute Hilario Gau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Inko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Inko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Pedroso's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. GALAPAGOS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alvaro Ipar in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Gogo Raymond made a precise shot to the right of Amado Rafe. GALAPAGOS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Pastor Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in GALAPAGOS's zone, Gogo Raymond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Rafe came out of the goal and Gogo Raymond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th match minute, GALAPAGOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Etxatxu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, GALAPAGOS's Clodoveo Argoitz got a free kick in the 30th minute. Amado Rafe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gogo Raymond in the 32nd minute. When Hilario Gau came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the GALAPAGOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Gau couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cachete FC's zone, Hilario Gau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliberto Inko came out of the goal and Hilario Gau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gogo Raymond made a kick off. A collision led to Cachete FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Federico Garikoitz hit a great ball. If Hilario Gau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Pedroso got free with Feliberto Inko in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Edgardo Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachete FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Rodriguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Rafe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the match, GALAPAGOS's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Rodriguez came free, but Amado Rafe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Garikoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Rafe having to interfere. Pastor Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
