When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Bernardo Resto sped through Tolosa AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Delmiro Clemencin. When Serafino Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Serafino Rodriguez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 56 minutes play.
