An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Medina in the 7th minute of play forced Languiñeo AFC's goalkeeper Severino Fanuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Teodoro Emenon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnasia y tiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Emenon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Fanuco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Languiñeo AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Federico Micael fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Languiñeo AFC's zone, Hermengildo Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Fanuco came out of the goal and Hermengildo Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Teodoro Emenon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Severino Fanuco, 1-0. After some careless play in the Gimnasia y tiro defense, Ignacio Oalo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Eguzki. The Gimnasia y tiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Eguzki should have stopped the shot. When Federico Micael fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gimnasia y tiro's protests and gave Federico Micael a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Gimnasia y tiro got a freekick which was hit by Federico Micael. Gimnasia y tiro's Jacobo Eguzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Oalo in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Teodoro Emenon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Fanuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gimnasia y tiro's Teodoro Emenon got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Teodoro Emenon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Languiñeo AFC's Severino Fanuco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Languiñeo AFC from getting a goal against them. Federico Micael hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Ignacio Oalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Mitxel was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Robustiano Monte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Languiñeo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimnasia y tiro the free kick. A collision led to Gimnasia y tiro getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Hector Mannuel hit a great ball. Higinio Mitxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jacobo Eguzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ignacio Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes in the game Luciano Madaleno did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Dionisio Eguzki. If Ignacio Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Mitxel struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Jacobo Eguzki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Languiñeo AFC. Luciano Madaleno kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 74 minutes of play, Gimnasia y tiro's Teodoro Emenon made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Fanuco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ignacio Oalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Jacobo Eguzki made a huge save. Jacobo Eguzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Mitxel in the 84th minute of the match. After 91 minutes of play, Gimnasia y tiro's Teodoro Emenon made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Fanuco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 97 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's Teodoro Emenon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severino Fanuco narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
