The audience was convinced that Claudio Gaizko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Eudoxio was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Angel Alfonso kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Gaizko in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alonzo Eudoxio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orlando Vachon hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Claudio Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Oihenarte hit a great ball. Retiro FC's Ovidio Honesto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Retiro FC from getting a goal against them. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Geronimo Guipuzkoa put in a rough tackle. In the 35th minute, Esteve Jakue ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Eudoxio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Gualterio Norino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gualterio Norino to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Primitivo Etxahun notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Bernal FC's Alonzo Eudoxio. Alonzo Eudoxio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Fermin Oihenarte came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Retiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Oihenarte couldn't finish the play. Ulises Froylan took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidio Honesto. Ovidio Honesto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Alonzo Eudoxio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esteve Jakue in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Bernal FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Edelmiro Eudoxio hit a great ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Primitivo Etxahun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Etxahun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ovidio Honesto came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Bernal FC's Gualterio Norino. But to his dismay, Gualterio Norino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. After a rather tough play, Retiro FC's Orlando Vachon got a free kick in the 70th minute. Ovidio Honesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Norino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Jakue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alonzo Eudoxio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Retiro FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Retiro FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Bernal FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
