If Jeronimo Koldobika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Rumaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albino Clemencin having to make a save. Enrique Gabirel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Medardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fortin's zone, Leonides Suarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Gabirel came out of the goal and Leonides Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Jeremias Medardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pumahuasi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After some careless play in the Pumahuasi defense, Jeronimo Koldobika kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albino Clemencin. The Pumahuasi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albino Clemencin should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Medardo made a kick off. Nunez Rumaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Elizardo hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Fortin's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Medardo came free, but Enrique Gabirel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Eladio in the 83rd minute of play forced Fortin's goalkeeper Enrique Gabirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
