Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eleuterio Banegas got the match started through his kick off. Mauricio Clodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 6 minutes, Gaston Fagondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ávalos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Fagondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucio Bernat hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Abreu was a little too slow when Gaston Fagondo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. When Eleuterio Banegas came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Riachuelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Banegas couldn't finish the play. Riachuelo FC's Eleuterio Banegas got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ávalos FC's goalkeeper Natalio Ekialde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Natalio Ekialde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Tallia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesar Tallia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Gaston Fagondo took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Arnulfo Abreu to make any attempt to save it. In the 35th minute Eleuterio Banegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Tallia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natalio Ekialde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Tallia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute Cesar Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaston Fagondo to strike the kick off in the second half. Natalio Ekialde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Quintun in the 51st minute of play. Jesus Luken hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Eleuterio Banegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Ekialde having to interfere. Riachuelo FC's Cesar Tallia was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cesar Tallia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Ekialde having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ávalos FC's zone, Cesar Tallia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Ekialde came out of the goal and Cesar Tallia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eleuterio Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Ekialde having to interfere. Cesar Tallia in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Natalio Ekialde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cesar Tallias short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Natalio Ekialde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 80th minute Gaston Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Arnulfo Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eleuterio Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Ekialde having to interfere. When Cesar Tallia came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Riachuelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Tallia couldn't finish the play. Ávalos FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Riachuelo FC had controlled the match.
