The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Maza's Cristobal Dolfo got control of the ball when Cesar Tallia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Osvaldas Kosakovskis made the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Florencio Frances got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnulfo Abreu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristobal Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Tallia in the 63rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Maza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
