The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Ayala got free with Fidel Abalos in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honorato Matro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Abalos having to interfere. If Honorato Matro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desmochado FC's Silvio Eguzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Lorien in the 31st minute of play. When Eloy Chesus fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desmochado FC's protests and gave Eloy Chesus a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Desmochado FC defense, Fabian Diagur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Eguzki. The Desmochado FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Eguzki should have stopped the shot. Desmochado FC's Victor Restu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fidel Abalos but with some difficulty. In the 44th minute, Fabian Diagur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Restu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Silvio Eguzki acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abelardo Cresencio. In the 54th minute Fabian Diagur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Eguzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Metileo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
