The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Julian Incendio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julian Incendio during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Charlone got a freekick which was hit by Julian Incendio. Casimiro Paz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Erramu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Iker Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Camerino's late challenge caught a Te cabio el TECLA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erubiel Camerino helped the player get up and apologised. 29 minutes into the game, one of Charlone:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Te cabio el TECLA's Casimiro Paz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Incendio in the 34th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Te cabio el TECLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Evangelista to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Erramu was the one to do the kick off. Teobaldo Lorencio came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Te cabio el TECLA's Iker Goi. But to his dismay, Iker Goi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Saturnino Dominguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Teobaldo Lorencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Charlone defense, Saturnino Dominguez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobaldo Lorencio. The Charlone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobaldo Lorencio should have stopped the shot. The Te cabio el TECLA fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Te cabio el TECLA's Iker Goi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Mauricio Erramu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th match minute, Te cabio el TECLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Abeitia to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Gaufred charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Gaufred the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes Te cabio el TECLA got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Gaufred. If Saturnino Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Erramu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Casimiro Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Incendio struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Casimiro Paz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlone. Casimiro Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Erramu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Te cabio el TECLA booed when Charlone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Pelagius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iker Goi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Te cabio el TECLA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
