Honorato Muno was slow to take the kick. During this time Panaholma's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Honorato Muno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vinchina's Angelo Fidele did a great save. 16 minutes into the match, Panaholma's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Orkatz came free, but Elias Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Humberto Ekaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Vinchina's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Humberto Ekaitz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Panaholma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Ekaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Vinchina were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Guzman in the 65th managed to get into a good position.
