In the 26th minute, Erubiel Jenaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buchanan FC's Guillermo Gamus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Salamon in the 29th minute of play. Guillermo Gamus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Lop's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Erubiel Jenaro's late challenge caught a Bernasconi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laureano Jon might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Timo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Eulalio Salamon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bernasconi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eulalio Salamon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Gamus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
