The supporters of Lagunillas FC booed when Chiclana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Gilabert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Patrido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Gilabert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Gonchan in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Dalmu saved Lagunillas FC from getting behind. Felipe Playo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amancio Berbiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Octavio Patrido made a huge save.
