When Timoteo Caitano fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potrerillos AFC's protests and gave Timoteo Caitano a yellow card for diving instead. Timoteo Caitano kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Humberto Gartzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Tximitx having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Potrerillos AFC's Baldomiro Gergori got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Batavia's Serafin Vedillo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudio Restu struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Gogo Tximitx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batavia. If Humberto Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Serafin Vedillo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Batavia fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Claudio Restu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Restu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gogo Tximitx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Claudio Restu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 played minutes Potrerillos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Omero. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomiro Gergori was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Baldomiro Gergori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filomeno Serapio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Serafin Vedillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Humberto Gartzen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gogo Tximitx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Restu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Potrerillos AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Humberto Gartzen scored to the left of an out of position Gogo Tximitx, making the score, 1-1. Serafin Vedillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Batavia were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
