Humberto Gartzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Benvide having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Batavia's Serafin Vedillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timoteo Benvide narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Serafin Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafin Vedillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timoteo Benvide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafin Vedillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Timoteo Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Serafin Vedillo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Batavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Vedillo couldn't finish the play. Batavia's Claudio Restu got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Batavia's zone, Matias Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Serapio came out of the goal and Matias Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Gartzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Benvide having to interfere. Timoteo Benvide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Gartzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Serafin Vedillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Humberto Gartzen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Gartzen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Timoteo Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Restu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Blai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Matias Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafin Vedillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafin Vedillo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Timoteo Benvide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batavia. Claudio Restu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Timoteo Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Batavia's Serafin Vedillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Timoteo Benvide. That made the score 0-1 after 70 minutes of play. Matias Rodriguez struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Filomeno Serapio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balsa. Mario Blai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Serapio having to interfere. Filomeno Serapio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Rodriguez in the 79th minute of play. Dalmacio Gamus kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Claudio Restu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Restu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timoteo Benvide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafin Vedillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timoteo Benvide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafin Vedillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Batavia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
