Jonathan Hechter made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Rogelio Berto sent off a good shot on target. Arnulfo Ederono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Roque Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Gauargi to maneuver through the defense. River's Roque Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Ederono in the 29th minute of play. Arnulfo Ederono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Roque Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Cipriano Betadur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Edgard Iztal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes, Dionisio Gartzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the González and the River players grew even worse after the yellow card. The wind increased when Alejo Restu made the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Horacio Idacio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River and the González players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute of the match Honorato Gaueko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roque Etxahun skillfully saved the ball. In the 59th minute, Arnulfo Ederono fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Roque Etxahun, passed just outside the right post. Paulo Fix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Arnulfo Ederono ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roque Etxahun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After having played for 76 minutes, Alejo Restu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. González's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Restu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignacio Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Alejo Restu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Etxahun having to interfere. After 83 played minutes River got a freekick which was hit by Federico Bartoli. 84 minutes into the match, River's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Restu came free, but Roque Etxahun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Hechter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Berto in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Arnulfo Ederono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. González played a much better game than River and deserved their victory. The River players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
