The crowd rose to their feet as Tacaglé's Jeremias Geleberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaime Remicio. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Aldo Ixaka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Remicio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Tacaglé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Ixaka to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Basualdo in the 21st minute of play forced Tacaglé's goalkeeper Elvio Pes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Remicio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Ixaka in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute Jeremias Geleberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Remicio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Clemente Basualdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tacaglé's Elvio Pes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Mantzio in the 32nd minute of play. Teo Mantzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elvio Pes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Mantzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvio Pes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Mantzio in the 45th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Geleberto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Tacaglé. Silvano Musko stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jaime Remicio. 2-0. Narciso Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Elvio Pes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jaime Remicio came out of the goal and Aldo Ixaka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Geleberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute Aldo Ixaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Remicio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elvio Pes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Mantzio's shot from short distance in the 100th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Delgado AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tacaglé.
