The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aldo Medero kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Vladimiro Guillelme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vladimiro Guillelme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Jesco in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Bautista saved guerrero del sielo from getting behind. Jaime Timo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Protestante's Eulalio Oskarbi got control of the ball when Jesus Gabon tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Danilo Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eulalio Oskarbi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Timo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeo Sasoin kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match Roque Irrintzi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ignacio Bautista skillfully saved the ball. If Damian Jesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Tadeo Sasoin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vladimiro Guillelme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Jaime Timo made the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Oskarbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Timo in the 52nd minute of the match. Vladimiro Guillelme in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ignacio Bautista, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Damian Jesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Bautista having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in guerrero del sielo's zone, Vladimiro Guillelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Bautista came out of the goal and Vladimiro Guillelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute Damian Jesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Bautista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Damian Jesco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but guerrero del sielo's Ignacio Bautista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Timo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Eulalio Oskarbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for guerrero del sielo. If Damian Jesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Protestante supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Protestante would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
