In the 43rd minute, Marciano Bladi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlos Bernad, passed just outside the right post. Nicanor Jakes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celestino Berasko charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Berasko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, Vilmer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Berasko to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Vilmer's zone, Lucas Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Nikola came out of the goal and Lucas Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicanor Jakes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Erasmo Llope reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfonso Nikola. The goal made the score 0-1. With a little luck, Vilmer's Alfonso Nikola got control of the ball when Nicanor Jakes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ubaldo Gonsalve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Carlos Bernad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Club Atlético Sanford fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Bernad should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Gonsalve cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Carlos Bernad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Feliciano Ordono hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of Club Atlético Sanford booed when Vilmer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Sanford players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vilmer.
