Bernardo Caton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Matias Leocadio came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Sorocayense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Leocadio couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Marcos Edorta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorocayense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Marcos Edorta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Leocadio in the 26th minute of play. Jonas Lehoi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Caton. Garra Blanca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matias Leocadio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Edorta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bernardo Caton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anibal Guipuzkoa hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Hermon in the 39th minute of play forced Garra Blanca's goalkeeper Bernardo Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Garra Blanca's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Edorta came free, but Bernardo Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Garra Blanca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sorocayense were winning 0-2.

In the 56th minute Jaime Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Frasquito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garra Blanca's Leonides Eguen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sorocayense. Jaime Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sorocayense getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Cornelio Txatxu hit a great ball. Generoso Caetano struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Silvano Frasquito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garra Blanca. Jaime Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Silvano Frasquito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Garra Blanca! Sorocayense's Marcos Edorta got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anibal Guipuzkoa charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Guipuzkoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Anibal Guipuzkoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Garra Blanca's zone, Marcos Edorta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Caton came out of the goal and Marcos Edorta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvano Frasquito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cruz in the 97th minute of the match.
