After 5 played minutes Pirguita got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Osasun. If Aurelio Peru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Osasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Henrico was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Angelo Santxol struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Lorenzo Henrico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirguita. Blas Solustiano hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Narciso Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Henrico having to interfere. Angelo Santxol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Henrico came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Pirguita's Angelo Santxol. But to his dismay, Angelo Santxol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelio Peru to make the kick off. After 54 minutes Pirguita's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruben Chepe who took care of the corner kick. After 62 minutes, Tomas Azeari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirguita and the Rucci Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Sergio Etxepare quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 69 minutes into the game, one of Pirguita:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 76th minute, Blas Solustiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Rucci Club's goalkeeper Lorenzo Henrico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Sancho. After a defensive mix-up in Rucci Club's zone, Narciso Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Henrico came out of the goal and Narciso Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Peru in the 85th minute of play forced Pirguita's goalkeeper Anacleto Hats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Peru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Anacleto Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Sancho got free with Lorenzo Henrico in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Santxol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rucci Club's Ruben Chepe got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Narciso Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Lorenzo Henrico. Rucci Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After 97 played minutes Pirguita got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Herauso. Aurelio Peru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Anacleto Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pirguita supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pirguita would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
