Virgilio Porfirio's late challenge caught a METALEROS DE CORDOBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgilio Porfirio helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Armstrong got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Porfirio. After 17 minutes, Denis Banegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Armstrong and the METALEROS DE CORDOBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Armstrong getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Denis Banegas hit a great ball. Horacio Hulberto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnulfo Oskarbi. Armstrong's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to METALEROS DE CORDOBA getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Marciano Jusepe hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Virgilio Porfirio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Rivero. METALEROS DE CORDOBA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Porfirio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Marcelo Ciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Oskarbi having to interfere. Bruno Florian charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Florian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, one of Armstrong:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Armstrong. In the 40th minute, Virgilio Porfirio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Armstrong's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Horacio Hulberto was slow to take the kick. During this time METALEROS DE CORDOBA's players had a chance to rest. Melquiades Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Arnulfo Oskarbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Banegas hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, METALEROS DE CORDOBA's Horacio Hulberto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herminio Poncio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. METALEROS DE CORDOBA were furious when Horacio Hulberto was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 55 minutes into the game, one of METALEROS DE CORDOBA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 66 minutes into the game, Marciano Jusepe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. METALEROS DE CORDOBA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armstrong the free kick. Arnulfo Oskarbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Astrada in the 77th minute of the match. Armstrong's Arnulfo Oskarbi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Astrada in the 82nd minute of play. Arnulfo Oskarbi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Bibiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, METALEROS DE CORDOBA's Melquiades Astrada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnulfo Oskarbi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnulfo Oskarbi came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by METALEROS DE CORDOBA's Melquiades Astrada. But to his dismay, Melquiades Astrada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The supporters of Armstrong booed when METALEROS DE CORDOBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Aztore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Jenaro struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Arnulfo Oskarbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for METALEROS DE CORDOBA. Melquiades Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Arnulfo Oskarbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. METALEROS DE CORDOBA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
