Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Evaristo Ignado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Bela having to interfere. After having played for 8 minutes, Evaristo Ignado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mondongo Social Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Ignado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mondongo Social Club's zone, Rosendo Amor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Fernandes came out of the goal and Rosendo Amor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Mondongo Social Club booed when Independiente F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Amor didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Independiente F.C's Nemesio Bela got control of the ball when Evaristo Ignado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Paulo Dantae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mondongo Social Club's Geronimo Efren got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Evaristo Ignado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rosendo Amor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the game, Paulo Dantae was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mondongo Social Club the free kick. If Evaristo Ignado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Mondongo Social Club's Nemesio Bela threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Evaristo Ignado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 38 minutes into the game, Evaristo Ignado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nemesio Bela. Evaristo Ignado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Geronimo Efren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes Independiente F.C got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Haritz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geronimo Efren got free with Nemesio Bela in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Mondongo Social Club's Geronimo Efren got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nemesio Bela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Bertol in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Ignado in the 57th minute of play forced Independiente F.C's goalkeeper Nemesio Bela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Geronimo Efren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nemesio Bela. Independiente F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geronimo Efren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Efren in the 65th minute of play forced Independiente F.C's goalkeeper Nemesio Bela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mondongo Social Club's Geronimo Efren in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Independiente F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st minute of the match Mondongo Social Club got a corner. Independiente F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Elivareo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mondongo Social Club's Gustavo Elivareo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nemesio Bela in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Geronimo Efren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Elivareo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nemesio Bela. Independiente F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Independiente F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Efren came free, but Nemesio Bela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemesio Bela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Ignado in the 89th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Independiente F.C got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Amor. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evaristo Ignado in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nemesio Bela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horacio Isias kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Mondongo Social Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
