The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Berta FC's goalkeeper Silvestre Arnau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Bernal. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Domingo Lawrence managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tejas's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Lawrence was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Arnau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Domingo Lawrence struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Silvestre Arnau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tejas. Cipriano Ado kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Domingo Lawrence recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvestre Arnau. Domingo Lawrence showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The supporters of Berta FC booed when Tejas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Mon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Froilan Llope fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tejas's protests and gave Froilan Llope a yellow card for diving instead. Froilan Llope kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Berta FC's corner Eriberto Lizbeth fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aaron Nuxila quite easily take care of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateo Natanael was the one to do the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Andres Quilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Melquiades Erdiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tejas's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Erdiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateo Natanael in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Nuxila saved Tejas from getting behind. Aaron Nuxila had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Eriberto Lizbeth's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tejas's Aaron Nuxila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Tejas from getting a goal against them. Astor Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Arnau having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tejas fully deserved thier win.
