In the 21st minute, Osvaldo Gonza made a precise shot to the right of Nicasio Gonzalez. Dio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Artemio Telesforo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvio Emeterio in the 26th minute. When Silvio Emeterio came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Dio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Emeterio couldn't finish the play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Dio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Gonza came free, but Nicasio Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dio FC's Nicasio Gonzalez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Dio FC from getting a goal against them.
